error message "controller stack got out of kilter!" is completely useless

Description

If you have a problem with a sidebar plugin, you get the message "Controller stack got out of kilter!". However it does not identify the particular problem, line, or even particular sidebar class, and doesn't even make clear that it is a sidebar problem. From the error message it could be anything. This makes debugging sidebars almost impossible. Not the Rails way!

Ah... yes. You can trawl back through the log to find the previous error, which is what actually went wrong but I am aware that this is far from ideal.

Definitely on my todo list.
