Blog doesn't render sometimes

Description

Since the caching changes in r1252 and newer I've seen my blog be missing the sidebar content.

Forcing a cache sweep "fixes" the problem.

After turning off spam blocking this went away:

[SP] Scanning IP 216.231.59.167
[SP] Scanning domain segment7.net

and my fastcgi processes stopped terminating. Perhaps it is related?
